WebbConsiderations: I have small hands (like barely bigger than my wife's) so no Louisville Slugger necks. I'm an advanced beginner (bass player for many years, relearning guitar) looking to play R&B, funk, soul types of things. Main guitar is a Strat (American Elite 2016) which I'm very happy with -- I would like tonal variety with the 2nd guitar. WebbPRS offer two main neck shapes which are very good for small hands: wide thin and pattern thin. These are C-shape necks which are quite shallow and have a fairly flat fretboard (10″ radius) on most models. The “pattern” and “wide fat” necks are a bit chunkier and may be less suitable for players with small hands.
