The full protection includes domain ownership protection which locks the domain at the registry level and makes it harder to lose the domain by accident or malicious attack (transfer, delete, expire, change contact details, etc.). Webpretty sure namecheap gives free privacy protection on all domains now. And like everything else on the internet your contact information will be scraped and sold so better to have private registration.
